| Nov. 3 | Early morning flight from Pokhara to Jomsom. Hired Durka in Jonsom.
Trekked up to Jharkot. |
| Nov. 4 | Walked from Jharkot to Muktinath. Saw the Jwala Mai Temple where
a blue flame of natural gas is emmitted from the same hole that water flows out of.
Walked back down to Jonsom. |
| Nov. 5 | Walked from Jomsom to Larjung |
| Nov. 6 | Went to Kopchepani |
| Nov. 7 | Went to Tatopani |
| Nov. 8 | Had nasty cough starting up hill towards Tatopani. Jim found a porter,
Ganesh, who was psyched to carry my pack to Ghorepani. We went to Sikha and stayed there,
except for Ganesh, who went back home to sleep then got up early to meet us back in Sikha.

| Nov. 9 | Went to Ghorepani, excellant views of Dhaulagiri and Annapurna. |
| Nov. 10 | Durka found me another porter, Ganga. We walked to Naya Pul. Got
taxi to Pokhara. |
| Nov. 11 | Flew from Pokhara to KTM |
| Dec. 6 | Took bus from Kathmandu to Jiri, bus left Kathmandu at 6:30 am, arrived in Jiri
at around 5 pm. |
| Dec. 7 | Walked from Jiri to Bhandar. |
| Dec. 8 | Went to Dagchu. |
| Dec. 9 | Went to Everest View Sherpa Lodge and Cheese Factory, near Sallung between
Junbesi and Ringmo. It was too cloudy to see Everest |
| Dec. 10 | Went to Jubing. |
| Dec. 11 | Went to Puiyan. |
| Dec. 12 | Went to Phakding. |
| Dec. 13 | Went to Namche. |
| Dec. 14 | Rest day in Namche, went to airfield and back. |
| Dec. 15 | Went to Tengboche. Took 4pm tour of Gompa |
| Dec. 16 | Went to Pangboche. |
| Dec. 17 | Went to Tuglha. This was a much faster ascent than the recommended guidelines.
Normally one is supposed to spend 2 nights in Pheriche. I only stopped there for tea.
I did listen to my body though and it had no complaints. For the most part I got away with it.
I did have a restless night and a mild headache that night in Tuglha. |
| Dec. 18 | Went to Loboche. Banged my knee on a rock on the way up. |
| Dec. 19 | Sore knee day in Loboche. |
| Dec. 20 | Knee better but still a little sore. Went to Italian research pyramid just north of
Loboche. |
| Dec. 21 | Went up Kala Pattar. Left Loboche at 6:30 am returned at 4:30 pm.
All lodges in Gorak Shep were closed. On way back down passed a lodge owner
from Gorak Shep on the way up to open a his lodge. |
| Dec. 22 | Went to Pangboche. |
| Dec. 23 | Went to Dole. |
| Dec. 24 | Went to Machermo. |
| Dec. 25 | Went to Gokyo. |
| Dec. 26 | Went up Gokyo Ri. Saw very big footprints on the way back down, Yeti perhaps. |
| Dec. 27 | Went to between 4th and 5th Gokyo lakes to camp of Japanese group.
Past the camp the trail became too difficult so I had to turn back. |
| Dec. 28 | Went From Gokyo to Dole |
| Dec. 29 | Went to Khumjung |
| Dec. 30 | Went to the hospital in Khunde to make sure knee was OK. Doctor said it was just a bruise.
Went to the Everest View Hotel for lunch. Spent night in Khumjung again. |
| Dec. 31 | Went to Namche, partied till midnight. Happy New Year. |
